CANCELLING A TRIP
It is extremely important that you call Mid-Coast Connector at 855-930-7900, as soon as possible, if you need to cancel transportation to your MaineCare medical appointments. It is considered a no-show if you fail to call Mid-Coast Connector to cancel transportation appointments within 2 hours before your scheduled pick up time . When no-shows happen, other members can be made to wait or even miss their rides entirely.
A No-Shows is when you cancel your transportation with less than a 2 hour notice or at the door when the transportation provider arrives. No-Shows can happen on the trip out to your appointment or on the trip back from your appointment.
If you No-Shows on a transportation appointment the following will happen:
FIRST TIME YOU NO SHOW
First time you No-Shows we will attempt to call you and/or your guardian and inform and remind you of the no-show policy. We will also send you a letter with a copy of the no-show policy.
IF YOU NO-SHOW A SECOND TIME SHOW WITHIN A 90 DAY PERIOD OF YOUR FIRST NO SHOW
If you no-show a scheduled transportation appointment for a second time within a 90 day period of your first no show we will send you a second letter with a reminder of the policy. This letter will inform you that ANY transportation appointments for all trips, individual or subscription have been deleted starting from the day of your second no-show.
You must call and speak to the Mid-Coast Connector Intake Supervisor at Tel: 855-930-7900 to approve the scheduling of any trips after the second no-show.
IF YOU NO-SHOW A THIRD TIME WITHIN A 90 DAY PERIOD OF YOUR FIRST NO SHOW
If you no-show a transportation appointment for a third time within a 90 day period of your first no show we will send you a letter notifying you that you will be suspended from all but the Family, Friends and Neighbor Reimbursement mode of transportation for a 90 day period following the date of your third no-show. This letter will also include a copy of Mid-Coast Connector no-show Policy and Family, Friends, and Neighbors reimbursement forms.
After the 90 day suspension period, scheduled transportation may be provided as usual.
